Chandler

With a background in public accounting, Chandler joined Allergan as a member of the Corporate Tax Department in 2002. In just five years with Allergan, Chandler has had some exciting opportunities.

In addition to tax compliance and reporting for Allergan, Chandler has also been involved with tax planning, foreign earnings repatriation planning, the company's forecasting process, intercompany transfer pricing, and various special projects that require input or involvement from a tax perspective. Most recently, Chandler was heavily involved with the integration process following the company's 2006 acquisition of Inamed Corporation, a major milestone in the company's history. Chandler has now taken on a developmental assignment where he is responsible for the U.S. accounting and reporting of all Allergan income taxes worldwide.

In his previous roles with public accounting firms, Chandler had limited opportunities to be regularly exposed to disciplines outside of tax. However, since joining Allergan, Chandler has enjoyed working with his colleagues across functions - from other areas of Corporate Finance and the Legal Department to other groups within Manufacturing and Research and Development. Being exposed to these various areas has played a key part in Chandler's professional growth.

On a personal level, Chandler admires and respects the people he works with at Allergan. In fact, a number of his current colleagues were previously his clients. The opportunity to continue his relationships with these individuals was a key factor in his decision to join the company.

The friendly, open culture and a work environment that allows for independence, while encouraging teamwork, is something Chandler appreciates. Since joining Allergan, he has been impressed by the entrepreneurial spirit that is inherent throughout the company and the personal ownership that he feels for his work. However, he is also quick to point out that he is comfortable seeking assistance when he needs to, which he attributes to the open door policy that Allergan fosters.

Chandler looks forward to growing his career with Allergan. When asked what he would say to someone he knew considering joining the company, he simply responds, "Allergan is a great place to be."
