Ashwin

Ashwin has worked at companies both large and small. For him, Allergan's size is a perfect fit. As Senior Manager of Commercial Planning in the Corporate Finance Group, Ashwin supports the financial analysis and strategic planning needs of Allergan's Head of Commercial Operations. He prepares presentations for Board meetings, provides financial updates on each of the company's commercial business units, and tracks progress to forecasts and budgets. He is also responsible for the finance needs of Allergan's global marketing organization.

Ashwin joined Allergan in 2000, attracted by the company's solid reputation and opportunities for career growth, as well as by its central Orange County location. In seven years he has been promoted four times, and has received two Awards for Excellence in Investor Relations. In 2004, he also earned his Master of Business Administration degree in Corporate Finance from the Marshall School of Business at University of Southern California, with financial assistance from Allergan.

He attributes much of his success to Allergan's culture of mentorship, entrepreneurship and collaboration. Ashwin thinks the company's status as an international, public corporation and industry leader provides people with exposure to a broad range of opportunities, from working and living abroad to interacting with other functions both in the United States and abroad on a daily basis. Individuals are valued for their ideas and input, and encouraged to share them with people all the way up the corporate ladder. Employees in the Finance Department are frequently recognized by the Chief Financial Officer for work well done, in ways that range from informal acknowledgements like e-mails to quarterly company-wide awards like the Awards for Excellence and Hidden Gems.

On a personal level, Ashwin enjoys the fact that he gets the opportunity to interface with senior leadership. Amenities like the gym, softball field, and concierge service further contribute to his belief that Allergan is a great place to work. However, it's the team atmosphere that he truly appreciates.
