David E.I. Pyott

Elected to the Board and joined Allergan, Inc. in 1998. Mr. Pyott has been Chief Executive Officer of Allergan since January 1998 and in 2001 became Chairman of the Board. Mr. Pyott also served as President of Allergan from January 1998 until February 2006. Previously, Mr. Pyott served as head of the Nutrition Division and a member of the Executive Committee of Novartis AG. Mr. Pyott is a member of the Board of Directors of Avery Dennison Corporation and Edwards Lifesciences Corporation. Mr. Pyott serves on the Board and the Executive Committee of the California Healthcare Institute; is a member of the Directors' Board of The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine (UCI); and is a member of the Board of the Biotechnology Industry Organization. Mr. Pyott also serves as a member of the Board of the Pan-American Ophthalmological Foundation, the International Council of Ophthalmology Foundation, and as a member of the Advisory Board for the Foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
